Flash Game Tip #79

The first minute, no, the first 30 seconds of your game experience are the most important. Don’t bog people down with a 100 menu clicks and a page of tutorial text just to get into the game. Show the player the action immediately and you will hook them forever.

Flash Game Tip #109

Get a working version of your game out the door as soon as possible. How soon am I talking here? If you can keep development time to a month, or even less, that’s ideal. You don’t want to waste time developing a game that doesn’t resonate with your audience.

Flash Game Tip #114

Finish your games, even if it’s crappy, or if you aren’t happy with it. Spend a few weeks polishing up your current state and release it. You never know what kind of reaction you will get.
