Flash Game Tip #2

One of the most important things to remember is that when you are making a personal game, your most important asset is you. You should leave room for your own personality in the game, and players are going to be able to really feel your passion. And that’s going to be one of the greatest things about a smaller, more personal video game.

Flash Game Tip #32

Always let your game become its own creation; at the same time, test early, test often, then let everyone play it. Make sure you are making something that you are excited to show somebody, and that other people can get excited about.

Flash Game Tip #78

Always get an outsider’s perspective on your game, because you are going to overlook so much on anything that takes that long to create. Because of that, you are going to have to be able to think very critically about your game. You are going to have to see what people like, what people don’t like, and what gives them trouble.

Flash Game Tip #108

Play lots of games. If you don’t absolutely love video games and truly believe in the awesome things that interactive entertainment can do, make way for somebody who does.
