Flash Game Tip #5

Have your friends play the game. If they don’t like it, others probably won’t either.

Laugh while you develop. Life is too short not to laugh, and when you are having fun, projects turn out better.

Flash Game Tip #75

Don’t be afraid to fail, for as C.S. Lewis said, “Failures are finger posts on the road to achievement.”

Be creative; think outside the box, outside the game, and even outside your bedroom. Take your laptop to your local park, coffee shop, or even Disneyland and try writing code there.

Flash Game Tip #83

Put passion into your games. If you aren’t passionate about something, it will show.

Find a good team. As it says in Proverbs 15:22, “Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.”

Flash Game Tip #107

Make an easy UI. Don’t make me think when playing your game, and make sure you can you still navigate your own game after you have had three stiff drinks.

Hobbies, get some; enjoyment in life leads to much better projects. So pick up curling, cosplay, or whatever you enjoy most.

Flash Game Tip #113

Use the KISS principle when possible: Keep It Simple, Stupid! And you can also apply the same KISS principle and make out with your hottie every hour, which I am sure will spur creativity as well.
