One thing I found that can help you stand out and overcome the super high expectations of angry Flash game players is comedy. I find comedy adds a lot of value, and if you sprinkle in some humor, you can often get players to drop their guard and just enjoy the game for what it is, instead of the usual criticizing it for what it isn’t.
